Chief Master Sergeant Steven L. Calvin is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 176th Wing, based at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He represents the highest level of enlisted leadership and oversees the combat readiness, health, welfare, development and quality of life for more than 1,400 assigned Active and Reserve personnel. He serves as the personal advisor to the wing commander and vice wing commander on all matters affecting the enlisted force and their families.

Chief Calvin was born in Monroe, Michigan and graduated from Bedford High School in Temperance, Michigan in 1980. He entered the United States Air Force on 23 May 1985 and has served in various positions in the radar operations command and control field. He has been assigned to both fixed and mobile Tactical Air Control System elements and held numerous Operational instructor and evaluator qualifications and staff positions throughout his career. Before assuming this position, Chief Calvin was the Superintendent of the 176th Operations Group. He assumed his current position on 5 October 2011.
