As part of the Department of Navy's (DON) on-going strategic sourcing efforts, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk awarded a suite of Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) in April 2011. After review, these Navy-wide vehicles are being directed for mandatory use.

The DON Furniture BPAs have achieved an initial discount at the BPA level and will allow the Department to reduce use of redundant vehicles. These BPAs were competitively awarded against Federal Supply Schedules and to the Federal Prison Industries d/b/a UNICOR for office, dorm and quarters, child development, and industrial and institutional furniture as part of Spiral II of the Navy's Strategic Sourcing Initiative for Furniture. The vendors information, ordering guide, etc. are attached.

All Department of Navy activities are directed to review the BPAs and ordering guide for immediate implementation. All DON Purchase Cardholders, Contracting officers, or contractors authorized by a DON contracting officer, should use these vehicles. However, contracting officers are reminded that they must still comply with the ordering procedures for multiple-award BPAs described at FAR 8.405-3(c)(2).
