U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) will join the residents of Perry County for a town hall meeting on Monday, February 18, 2013, at 10:00 am Central Time.  The meeting, which is open to the public, will take place at Judson College located at 302 Bibb Street, Marion, Alabama.

Senator Shelby will address the legislative agenda for the first session of the 113th Congress as well as important issues facing the nation and the state of Alabama.  Following his remarks, Senator Shelby will open the floor to questions and comments from those in attendance. 

“Over the years, these meetings have provided an excellent opportunity for area residents to listen and voice their opinions on the activities of our government,” said Shelby.  “This will be a great chance to discuss the important issues facing our state and our nation.”                                                 

The meeting is open to the public.  Members of the media are encouraged to attend.
