Legislation

CFR Part 410 Training
Codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register on training. Part 410 establishes regulations that Federal agencies are to follow in carrying out their training programs.

CFR PART 412-Supervisory, Management, and Executive Development

Executive Order 11348
This order provides agency heads and U.S. Office of Personnel Management with additional presidential direction on how training law is to be carried out.

The Government Employees Training Act (GETA)
Gives Federal agencies general authority for employee training. This law authorized the use of non-government training resources to meet identified training needs which otherwise could not be met with existing Governmental programs and facilities.

Title 5 USC Chapter 41
Title 5 USC Chapter 41 codifies the provisions of GETA, and makes available to Federal agencies a management tool for increasing efficiency and effectiveness in Government.
