Colonel Kurt P. Lambert is Commander of the 349th Medical Group, one of four groups assigned to the Air Force Reserve Command's 349th Air Mobility Wing, located at Travis Air Force Base, California. As Commander, he is responsible for the operations of three reserve medical units: the 349th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, the 349th Aeromedical Staging Squadron and the 349th Medical Squadron. He is the principal medical advisor to the Wing Commander, Travis Air Force Base.

Colonel Lambert graduated from the University Of Missouri School Of Dentistry in 1988. Doctor Lambert has maintained a private practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He received a direct commission as a 1st Lieutenant in the New Mexico Air National Guard in 1989, and was assigned to the 150th Tactical Clinic at Kirtland Air Force Base serving as a dental officer. In May of 1997 Major Lambert took over as Chief of Dental Services for the 150th MDS until February 2005 when he transferred to the 704th MDS United States Air Force Reserves as Chief of Dental Services. In October of 2006, Lieutenant Colonel Lambert took Command of the 704th MDS at Kirtland AFB N.M. Colonel Lambert served as the Commander of the 704th MDS until its closure in November of 2007.

During Colonel Lambert's military career, he has served on humanitarian missions to St Lucia, Ecuador and Guatemala. Colonel Lambert has provided medical/dental support at bases in Italy, Germany, England and provided support for Operation Desert Storm at Homestead AFB, Fla. In May of 2007 Colonel Lambert deployed to Craig Joint Theater Hospital in Bagram, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Prior to his current assignment, he was assigned to the 349th Aerospace Medicine Squadron.
