MA ANG aids in refueling NY

Tech. Sgt. Kevin Cane, an Air National Guardsmen of the 104th Fighter Wing, pumps gasoline for vehicles essential to maintaining New York City’s infrastructure at a fuel supply point on Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, N.Y. The operation has distributed over 280,000 gallons of motor vehicle gasoline and more than 78,000 gallons of diesel fuel to emergency vehicles, school busses, and tactical military vehicles used for relief efforts. Floyd-Bennett Field, NY, refueling mission

The Massachusetts Air National Guard, along with the Army National Guard, provided a series of C-300 fuel trucks, which can hold 1,200 gallons of fuel and are capable of dispensing gasoline directly into vehicles. Approximately 350,000 gallons of fuel, provided by FEMA, were distributed to about 12,000 vehicles at the Floyd-Bennett Field, N.Y., in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. 102nd Prepared for Hurricane Sandy

Members from critical agencies of the 102nd Intelligence Wing, Massachusetts Air National Guard, sign-in and await assignments October 29, 2012 on Otis Air National Guard Base. The airmen were activated to serve as assets to Task Force Patriot.
