Sergeant Major Patrick L. Kimble

Sergeant Major Patrick L. KimbleSgtMaj Kimble reported for boot camp at MCRD Parris Island, South Carolina on February 24, 1987. In December 1987, executed orders to LSSS, 3rd FSSG, Okinawa, Japan and also deployed with Operation Bear Hunt '89 to Unchon, Korea.

After serving overseas, was assigned to LSSS, 2nd FSSG, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina from January 1989 to February 1991.

Completed D.I. School on June 20, 1991 and served with Third Recruit Training Battalion until August 1993.

In September of 1993, reported to Marine Security Guard Battalion, at Quantico, Virginia to serve as the Battalion Legal Chief.

Attended Marine Security Guard School, Class 2-96 and was posted as the Detachment Commander at the American Embassies in: Santiago, Chile, South America; Djibouti, Republic of Djibouti, Africa; and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa. Received award for heroic acts during the terrorist bombing of the American Embassy in Dar es Salaam on August 7, 1998. Reported for duty as an Instructor/Advisor at Marine Security Guard School in late September 1998 at Quantico.

Reported for duty as a Senior Paralegal Instructor at the Naval Justice School, Newport, Rhode Island on July 5, 2000.

Frocked to the rank of First Sergeant on May 31, 2001 and reported for duty at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland, in June 2001 as the Company First Sergeant for Marine Corps Security Force Company. Selected and re-assigned as the Company First Sergeant for a one-year unaccompanied tour of duty with Marine Corps Security Force Company Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in July 2003.

On August 7, 2004, reported for duty with Second Battalion, Third Marines, aboard MCBH Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii as the Weapons Company First Sergeant.

Selected and frocked to the rank of Sergeant Major, was posted with MALS-24 at MCAS Kaneohe Bay from December 30, 2004 until November 30, 2006.

Executed orders in December 2006, for duty with 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, California. Deployed with 1/1 to Iraq in support of OIF 06-08 from July 18, 2007 to February 13, 2008 and awarded the Bronze Star.

On June 4, 2008, reported as the Sergeant Major for helicopter training squadron HMLA/T-303 at MCAS Camp Pendleton. From November 5, 2008 until May of 2011 he was the Sergeant Major of Marine Corps Embassy Security Group, Quantico, VA.

He is currently posted as the Sergeant Major the Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler and Marine Corps Bases Japan.
