Such applicants must schedule an OFC appointment on – www.ustraveldocs.com/in. They must appear in person at the OFC to submit their application and have their photographs at that time.   All applicants must include the following documents when submitting their application:

  • The applicant's valid passport
  • DS-160 confirmation sheet
  • OFC appointment letter
  • Fee receipt and
  • All other documents relevant to their visa application

(In the absence of an interview, the following information may also be of use:  Information on the purpose of the visit, information on those to be visited in the U.S., and evidence of the applicant's ties to India. If the applicant is in possession of any old passport, it must be submitted).

Note: Visa issuance for those not appearing in person is not guaranteed.  The Consulate General may in some cases, after reviewing an application, require a person to appear in person for a visa interview.
