Colonel Terry L. Haske is the Commander, 35th Medical Group, Misawa Air Base, Japan. He is heavily involved across service lines, and across local governments, in shaping the future role of AF medicine in the rapidly evolving National Capital Region.

After completing a General Surgery internship, he received his direct commission into the United States Air Force in 1989. Colonel Haske then began his military career as a flight surgeon at Lackland AFB, TX. This assignment included a short tour deployment to the Middle East in support of theater-wide aeromedical evacuation during Operations Desert Shield/Storm. After two years experiencing joint operations as an emergency physician at the Army medical center in Landstuhl, Germany, he returned to flight medicine with assignments at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ and Andrews AFB, MD. Colonel Haske spent his next three years as a Resident in Aerospace Medicine (RAM). This was followed by a black world assignment. It was then back to academics as a student at National War College. Prior to assuming his current position in March 2011, Colonel Haske commanded the Chief of Aerospace Medicine, 79 MDW and AFDW.
