Volunteers are needed for the KaBOOM! Playground Build on Fort Meade – Sept. 8, 9 and 10.
Playground design
The kids have done their part by submitting ideas and helping vote for the playground design. Now, it’s your turn. Volunteers are needed from on and off post to help the greater Fort Meade community build a new playground. Give a few hours of your time so the Fort Meade military community’s children will have a place to play for years to come.
Here’s what we need:
- 30 volunteers to prepare the site, including 12 build captains for Sept. 8
- 10 volunteers for set-up day, Sept. 9
- 100 volunteers to build the playground Sept. 10
- 20 volunteers to help with kid projects and activities Sept. 10
- 75 kids to help with painting projects, arts and crafts, and games Sept. 10
Volunteers must pre-register by Sept. 2.
Volunteer opportunities are open to the internal and external community.
