Washington, DC- Rep. Pete Olson (R-TX) today issued the following statement in support of the 39th Annual March for Life that is taking place on the National Mall:

"Today marks the 39th anniversary of the March for Life, a positive, life-affirming effort to raise awareness of the importance of protecting unborn children.  It is heartwarming to see so many dedicated people make the trek to our nation’s capital in support of life. It is inspirational and gives us great hope for the future of this nation.

"I will continue to do all I can to support efforts that will protect the most innocent among us.  I also will continue to work to protect taxpayers from seeing their hard-earned tax dollars go to organizations that promote or perform abortions. I am grateful for all of those who have made the trip to Washington, D.C. for such an imperative cause and am proud to continue this fight by their side."
