Mr. Cliff Tyler
Cliff Tyler is chief of the Reserve Magazine Division in the Office of Public Affairs, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. In this capacity, he serves as managing editor of Citizen Airman, official magazine of the Air Force Reserve.

Mr. Tyler began his career as a writer/editor at The Daily Sun, a small daily newspaper in Warner Robins, Georgia. After working there for a little more than a year, he entered civil service in October 1982 as a writer for the Army's PS Magazine, a monthly preventive maintenance and supply publication, at the Lexington-Blue Grass Army Depot Activity, Kentucky.

In November 1983, Mr. Tyler transferred to the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center Office of Public Affairs, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, as editor of the weekly newspaper, the Robins Rev-Up, a civilian-enterprise publication with a circulation of approximately 18,000. He held that position until August 1986, when he was promoted to chief of internal information. He remained in that job until January 1993, when he moved over to HQ AFRC as chief of community relations. He assumed his current position in June 1993.

As a June 1981 cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, Mr. Tyler earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism, majoring in public relations. He is a graduate of the Editors Course as well as the Senior Public Affairs Officer at the Defense Information School. In addition, he has attended a couple of management training seminars offered by the Office of Personnel Management in Washington, D.C. 


Mr. Bo Joyner
Bo Joyner is the associate editor of Citizen Airman, official magazine of the Air Force Reserve. His duties include writing feature stories, taking photographs, and performing layout and design functions. Also, he attends press inspections to ensure the printing of the magazine meets contract requirements and industry standards.

Mr. Joyner was graduated from Warner Robins High School, Warner Robins, Georgia, in 1982. He is a 1986 cum laude graduate from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of science degree in journalism.

Before entering civil service in December 1988, Mr. Joyner worked as a writer/editor at the Houston Home Journal newspaper in Perry, Georgia, and The Daily Sun newspaper in Warner Robins. From December 1988 to July 1994, he served as editor of the Robins Rev-Up, weekly newspaper for Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. The newspaper was selected as the second best in Air Force Materiel Command in 1994. He assumed his current duties in July 1994.

Mr. Joyner is a graduate of the newspaper editors course taught through the Defense Information School, formerly at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana, and now located at Fort Meade, Maryland. In addition, he attended the Communications Short Course taught through the University of Oklahoma. 


Staff Sgt. Celena Wilson
Staff Sgt. Celena Wilson is the noncommissioned officer in charge of magazine operations in the Reserve Magazine Division, Office of Public Affairs, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. In this capacity, she serves as a staff writer for Citizen Airman, official magazine of the Air Force Reserve, and also assists with all aspects of production and distribution.

Sergeant Wilson joined the Air Force in March 1996 after graduating from Lowpoint-Washburn High School in May 1995. She began her Air Force career at the Aeronautical Systems Center Office of Public Affairs at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. For 2 1/2 years she was in charge of the community relations high school and college base tour program. She scheduled and conducted more than 150 tours, hosting almost 1,550 visitors to various organizations throughout the base, giving them a close-up view of Air Force operations. During the next 2 1/2 years, Sergeant Wilson was a staff writer on the base newspaper, The Skywrighter. In 1997, she was selected as the Air Force Materiel Command Public Affairs Airman of the Year and won in the Picture Stories category of the AFMC Media Contest.

She moved to the 15th Air Base Wing at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, where she was the editor of the base newspaper, Hickam Kukini. During the last six months of her assignment, she was the noncommissioned officer in charge of the Media Division.

Sergeant Wilson was selected to become the Public Affairs Noncommissioned Officer for the 337th Recruiting Squadron, headquartered at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. She was in charge of various media relations and marketing events through North and South Carolina, including working with the Thunderbirds and the Air Force #21 NASCAR team. In 2006, she was a co-recipient of the FY06 Top Marketing Team for the 360th Recruiting Group and Air Force Recruiting Service.

During the summer of 2006, she deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where she was the Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing Public Affairs Office.
