I know the common New Year’s resolutions- lose weight, quit smoking or simply become a better you!
My New Year resolution is to maintain a happy home and a happy home starts with being a healthy home. I’m learning that to create such a home, I’ll have to go beyond merely home decorating and hosting family events, but maintain a home that is safe and free of health hazards. My first stop was a visit to HUD’s Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control webpage where I found a wealth of consumer-friendlyinformation like preventing lead poisoning, controlling indoor mold and moisture, and reducing asthma triggers.
