Spending Cuts and Debt
"It's time for the federal government to operate like a business and make ends meet." - Congressman Roger Williams
As a career businessman, Roger knows that the federal government can’t continue to spend more than it takes in. It must balance its budget just like families and businesses around America do every year.
Roger’s plan on spending and the budget is to focus on the real causes of overspending and implement some much-needed reforms.
Roger supports:
- Entitlement reform;
- Reduced discretionary spending except for national security spending;
- Tying any expansion of the debt ceiling to real budget reforms and real spending cuts.
