Object-Oriented Programming in Fortran 2003

Fortran 2003 explicitly supports object-oriented programming (OOP). OOP aims to increase a program's maintainability in part by reducing cross-module data dependencies and to increase a program's reusability in part by providing for extensible derived types. NERSC will be hosting a free two-day Software Carpentry Boot Camp on March 28-29 to introduce scientists to skills and tools that will allow them to use computing more efficiently. Using the Cray XE6

The Joint Cray XT5 Workshop, held on February 1-3, 2010 in Berkeley CA, is designed to provide an in-depth introduction to using the world's newest and largest Cray XT5 systems.
