SATERN Occupational Health Training Modules
SATERN icon These Occupational Health training modules were developed through the NASA System for Administration, Training, and Educational Resources (SATERN). Each module is designed to take approximately one hour to complete. Access to these modules requires a SATERN login account. Physicians Continuing Education Sites
  • Assessment and Management of Overweight and Obese Adult Patients - A course on the assessment and management of the overwieght and obese adult patient is sponsored by the Department of Health and Humand Service (DHHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), and the North American Association for the Study of Obesity (NAASO). The course focus is on health risks, patient assessment, motivation, lifestyle and adjunct therapy and treatment algorithm.
  • CDC MMWR Continuing Medical Education Program - The MMWR Continuing Medical Education Program has been integrated into a new CDC enterprise-wide system. Users are required to register to take courses and exams on-line. The site has a list of available credits.
  • MedScape CME Center - This site offeres free, continuously updated continuing education activities for physicians. The activities offered have been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), and have been developed by ACCME-accredited organizations.
Nurses Continuing Education Sites
  • The HCPro HCPro is offering a few free contact hours will be provided initially in conjunction with the selection of certain products such as newsletters or audioconferences. Online learning courses vary in price.
  • American Association of Occupational Health Nurses - On-line CE Modules that are offered in a convenient and cost effective manner. The credits can be used for certification, re-certification an dlicensure.

  • Nursing Honor Society Sigma Theta Tau International - The website of the Nursing Honor Society Sigma Theta Tau International is a credible and easy access to clinical updates relevant to licensure and certification requirements. Prices have newly changed with the starting range of $10 to $12 per course.
  • Nursing Spectrum - You may utilize your login password to participate in CE-Direct free of charge. Decide when and where you are ready to learn by accessing these On-line self-study programs. Courses are good for certification or license renewal. Certificates are issued real-time.
  • MedScape Nurse CE Center - Medscape offers free, continuously updated continuing education activities for registered nurses and other health professionals. All activities listed in the Nurse CE Center have been planned and implemented in accordance with the requirements of the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation, and have been produced in collaboration with nursing-accredited CE providers.
  • Wild Iris Medical Education - Continuing education courses to nurses and other healthcare professionals via the Internet. Courses are accredited through several associations and States such as ANCC and California BRN.
