COURSE LENGTH: 5 days
PURPOSE: To provide training for ANG personnel assigned duties with responsibilities for ground safety. Commanders, supervisors, and collateral duty safety personnel will be provided instruction in unit/work center mishap prevention programs in accordance with Air Force and ANG safety directives. Provides all levels of management with an awareness of requirements for compliance with federal raw related to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Course features a mock inspection of an industrial work area. Course meets or exceeds supervisor safety training (SST) subject matter. Students completing the course will receive documentation for attending a 10-hour Occupational Safety and Health Training Course in General Industry.
PREREQUISITE: This course is designed for all levels of supervision (commanders, supervisors, and collateral/additional duty safety personnel). IAW AFI 91-202/ANG Supplement 1, members must be assigned to one of the above areas of responsibility to attend this course. Recommend full-time Occupational Safety & Health Managers attend prior to attending 3-level safety school. ANG/SEG (DSN: 327-2280) must approve all exceptions to these requirements.
NOTES: Students are required to bring a current copy of the following Air Force/ANG directives: AFI 91-202, AFI 91-207, AFI 91-301, AFOSH Standard 91-501 chapter 14, and ANG Supplements to AFI 91-202 and 91-301.
