COURSE LENGTH: 5 days
PURPOSE: This course is a consolidated revisit of the Basic EMT course program of instruction. This refresher course covers medical techniques that are common to all practicing Basic EMTs. Instructors will use the Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration national standard refresher curriculum. This instruction refreshes knowledge and reinforces skills essential for the basic EMT. Satisfactory completion of this course meets criteria of Section I of the registration requirements set forth by the National Registry.
PREREQUISITE: Certification as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (active status or expiration within two years).
