U.S. Embassy Strongly Condemns Suicide Attack in Kunduz Province

The United States condemns in the strongest terms the suicide attack that killed more than 29 Afghans and wounded more than 30 in Kunduz Province today while they waited in line at a government building.  This incident demonstrates yet again the terrorists’ cowardice and complete disregard for human life. 

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims and all those affected by this and any attack against sacred human life.  We will, as always, stand beside our Afghan partners to improve security and will continue to work so that these senseless and brutal acts of violence no longer disrupt the lives of the Afghan people.
