Technology Information Exchange

Internet based online communities foster discussion of new environmental technologies.

Effective technological solutions to complex environmental problems requires the cooperation of a global community of people and organizations engaged in research and development activities. EVS uses the Internet to promote sharing of expertise and experience in development and use of new environmental technologies among peers in government, industry, and other interested stakeholders.

Web sites supported by e-mail communications and online discussion groups foster the development of online communities centered on a particular environmental topic. Sharing information and expertise results in the development of better solutions to complex environmental problems.

Follow the links below to learn more about Internet applications developed by EVS to support technology information exchange.

Drilling Waste Management Information System (DWMIS)
DWMIS provides technical information about drilling waste management options, access to federal and state regulatory requirements, and an easy-to-use tool for selecting possible options for a user's specific situation.

NORM Technology Connection
The NORM Technology Connection Web site provides the oil and gas industry an on-line resource for solving NORM-related problems.

TechCon Program Web Site
Web-based technical assistance and facilitation linked commercial technology vendors with DOE clean up project teams and stakeholders.
