Duties: 

This position is located in the Region's Casper Maintenance Engineering Office and provides technical leadership for matters pertaining to power transmission systems and substations.  Incumbent designs replacements, repairs, and new installations of a wide range of power system protection, control and communication systems for high voltage power transmission systems.  Supports maintenance, repair and construction activities for high voltage substations and related equipment.


Qualifications Required: 


You must meet all the qualification and eligibility requirements for the position by the closing date of the announcement. You may review the qualification requirements here. Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of the announcement. If you are qualifying based on experience, you must have served at least one year working in a job that required specialized experience. This experience must be equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal service. Specialized experience includes: Experience in the design, operation and maintenance of substation protection and communication equipment and battery systems.
