LTC Michelle L. Bienias
GARRISON COMMANDER
Lieutenant Colonel Michelle L. Bienias was born in Rapid City, South Dakota and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She is a Distinguished Military Graduate of Northern Illinois University and was commissioned through ROTC into the Military Intelligence Corps in December 1993.
Her previous assignments include: Battalion S2, 36th Signal Battalion, Camp Walker, Korea; Company Executive Officer, Collection Manager, Platoon Leader and J3 Operations Officer in 713th Military Intelligence Group, Harrogate, UK; Brigade S2 and Company Commander in 7th Corps Support Group, Bamberg, Germany; Division Collection Manager, 501st MI BN, McCully Barracks, Germany; Joint/ SIGINT Operations Officer and Cryptologic Support Team OIC, 704th Military Intelligence Brigade, Fort Meade, MD; Battalion XO, Headquarters Command Battalion, Ft. Meade, MD; Electronic Warfare Officer and Joint Operations Officer, Defense Intelligence Agency, Pentagon, VA; Regional Command West (RCW) Fusion Chief, RCW Fusion Center, Afghanistan; and most recently Army Cyber G2 Analysis and Control Element (ACE) Chief at US Army Cyber Command, Ft Belvoir, Virginia.
Her previous deployments include: Operation IRAQI FREEDOM [2003 and 2005] with 1st Armored Division and 3rd Infantry Division respectively; and most recently Operation ENDURING FREEDOM [2010] with RCW Fusion Center, Afghanistan.
LTC Bienias earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the Northern Illinois University, and a Master’s of Science in International Affairs from Troy University, Alabama. Her military education includes: Airborne school, the Military Intelligence Officer Basic Course, the Signals Intelligence Officer Course, the Military Intelligence Officer Advanced Course, the Combined Arms and Services Staff School, the Imagery Intelligence Officer Course, the Junior Officer Cryptologic Career Program, the Army Command and General Staff College and the Joint and Combined Warfighting School.
