Summary:

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is requesting Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program funds in the amount of $196,137 to enhance Benton County Drug Treatment Court services towards the reduction of crime, drug use and restoring family stability. DTC is asking for grant funds to enhance services for 120 participants over 2 years through the following 3 projects:

  1. Establish a Subsidized Employment program that will provide funds to encourage businesses to employ DTC participants (key components #4 & 10; design features #6 &7; narrative p. 13)
  2. Provide funds to re-establish a Case Manager position. This person will monitor participant progress and help coordinate opportunities in the community (key components #1, 4, 6, 8 & 10; design features #1, 5-7; narrative p. 16);
  3. Provide training opportunities for the DTC staffing team (key component #9; narrative p.18)
