TTB Strategic Plan

TTB develops and implements a five-year Bureau strategic plan to meet the requirements of the Government Performance Results Act (GPRA).

The TTB Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2007 – 2012 represents our goals, objectives and strategies that enable the Bureau to effectively collect the taxes owed on alcohol, tobacco, firearms and ammunition; address tax evasion and other criminal conduct; ensure that regulated alcohol and tobacco products comply with Federal commodity, safety, and distribution requirements; and ensure that only qualified applicants are issued permits to engage in the alcohol and tobacco industries.

Our current plan reflects our five-year strategic vision for the Bureau, and centers on eight strategic goals that support the TTB mission of protecting the public and collecting the revenue in the most efficient and effective manner. The mission statement and strategic goals were revised in FY 2011, and these changes will be reflected in the next TTB strategic plan.
