PREPARATION OF FORM 179 Proprietors of distilled spirits plants and others concerned: Purpose. This circular is issued to advise you of an error in Instruction No. 2 on the June 1965 revision of Form 179. Background. Form 179 was revised in June 1965 so as to provide, through amendment of the instructions, for an extra copy of the form to be retained by the assigned officers. Through error, Instruction No. 2 was not revised so as to provide for the preparation of the necessary extra copy, when the form covers an application for withdrawal for purposes other than rectification or bottling. Procedure. Pending the next printing of Form 179, when Instruction No. 2 will be appropriately revised, proprietors preparing Form 179 under such instructions should prepare it in quadruplicate rather than in triplicate.
