CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Brig. Gen. Duane Gamble, Army Sustainment Command deputy commanding general, along with Brig. Gen. Edward Dorman III, director of Logistics Operations, Readiness, Force Integration and Strategy, Headquarters, Department of the Army, were briefed Sept. 13 at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic in Charleston, S.C.
Gamble and other distinguished visitors were present to observe the uploading of the U.S. Naval Ship Watson, expected to depart Joint Base Charleston Sept. 21 in support of Army Prepositioned Stocks-3. APS-3 is a program that places combat-ready equipment aboard naval ships, which spend up to 36 months at sea in support of contingency operations.
