Childbirth Education


Mission statement:
The Philosophy of Childbirth Education is to empower patients through knowledge in a series of 4 (2hr each) classes in Weaver Auditorium that include education on labor, delivery, breastfeeding and newborn care. Expecting parents are provided the knowledge, skills and additional resources to successfully parent. The new skills gained provide an ability to relax in the knowledge achieved. Once empowered and relaxed expecting moms experience decreased pain sensation and increased confidence through education.

Please note:

• Mothers can take classes as early as 24 weeks into the pregnancy
• All classes are held in the Weaver auditorium from 1800-2000
• NO CHILDREN under 16 are allowed (except in the sibling class)
• Please bring to class: something to write with and a bottle of water
