AGR Application Procedures

Submitting the Packet

All packets are now submitted on-line. You will find the packet on the My Tools section of the new Portal at http://www.hrcapps.army.mil/portal

The FY13 tentative Panel dates for AGR accessions are as follows:

7-11 January 2013 - application submission deadline is 9 December 2012.

1-5 April 2013 - application submission deadline is 3 March 2013.

8-12 July 2013 - application submission deadline is 9 June 2013.

Preparing the Application Packet

It is your responsibility to prepare your application accurately and ensure your documents are updated in PERMS.

Providing Feedback Concerning your Application

Ensure your Army Knowledge Online (AKO) account email address is kept up to date. All correspondence will be through AKO.

Reviewing Your Application Packet

When HRC receives your AGR packet, it will be screened for basic eligibility requirements. If you meet the basic eligibility requirement, your packet will be sent to the AGR Panel for review. If you failed to meet the basic eligibility requirement, your packet will not be reviewed by the AGR Panel. At the conclusion of the perspective Panel review, a notification will be sent to all Soldiers who applied for the AGR Program. If you do not receive a notification from our office within 30 days from the conclusion of the perspective Panel, please contact our office for assistance.

Packet Status

Applicants will receive two notifications during the AGR Panel process. The first notification is an automated email that verifies receipt of your AGR application packet. Another email will be sent NLT 30 days after the perspective Panel recesses. The notification will inform the Soldier whether or not he/she was placed on the Consideration List. Our office cannot determine or explain why a Soldier was not recommended by the Panel members to be placed on the Consideration List.

Applicants who want to inquire about the status of a submitted packet or a notification they received should send an email the AGR Accessions Team at usarmy.knox.hrc.mbx.epmd-agr-accession@mail.mil.  The subject line of the email should include full name, rank, service component and the last four of your social security number.

Publication of the AGR Consideration List

The Consideration List is not published on our webpage because it is a working document that changes daily. If a position becomes available that requires a Soldier’s skills, a technician will contact him/her via AKO e-mail address and/or phone call.

Soldiers on the Consideration List in the grades of E-5 through E-7 are also screened for recruiting duty. If eligible, the Soldier will receive an e-mail asking him/her to contact the Recruit the Recruiter Team. Recruiting duty is the number one priority for new AGR accessions. 99.8% of those eligible for AGR Recruiting receive an offer to join the AGR Program. For more information, please visit the Recruiter the Recruiter Team’s webpage at https://www.hrc.army.mil/Enlisted/Become AGR Recruiter.

Placement on the consideration list does not guarantee an offer of a position!

If an AGR career is your goal, it is recommended that you accept the initial offer. There are many eligible Soldiers currently awaiting an AGR offer.  Therefore, if you decline our initial offer, we will not send you another offer until 12 months from the date you declined our first offer.

Valid AGR opportunities come only from HRC!

For additional information or to check the status of your packet, please contact the AGR Accessions Team by email or call at (502) 613-5927. Emails should be sent via your AKO email.
