982nd Training Group

The 982d Training Group provides quality hands-on aircraft, munitions and communications-electronics maintenance training to meet the evolving needs of its primary customer, the first-line supervisor. The 982d Training Group has more than 1,200 people assigned within two training squadrons and one maintenance squadron. The 982d Training Group provides weapon systems training at 44 detachments and operating locations worldwide. Exercising single-point training management, the group is the Air Education and Training Command's first point of contact for many weapons systems. In this capacity, the 982d develops comprehensive training programs and provides technical support for design and development of training equipment during acquisition and modification of aircraft and associated equipment. The vision of the 982nd Training Group is to provide field training and training support that makes a lasting difference.

372nd Training Squadron

372nd Training Squadron

The 372d Training Squadron delivers advanced skills aerospace maintenance training to the Department of Defense and its allies. They enhance the combat capability of the United States Air Force by meeting the evolving needs of aircraft maintenance training, support training and technical support. The 372d Training Squadron provides numerous courses either taught in classroom lectures and/or hands-on instructional techniques. The 372d Training Squadron is one of two operational squadrons executing the group's training mission.


373rd Training Squadron

373rd Training Squadron

The 373d Training Squadron provides premier maintenance training for all major commands, sister services and allied nations in airlift, special operations, tanker support and aerospace ground equipment. The 373d Training Squadron is one of two training squadrons within the 982d Training Group with multiple detachments that push the mission to all airlift, tanker and special operation maintenance training.

982nd Maintenance Squadron

The 982d Maintenance Squadron creates, acquires, maintains and sustains state-of-the-art aerospace maintenance, telecommunications and civil engineering trainers and training aids to sustain warfighter capabilities. 982 MXS is a uniquely diverse unit housing Trainer Development/Design and Fabrication, Instructional Multimedia development, Logistical Acquisition/Sustainment/Disposition and Contractor Surveillance/Oversight expertise. These joint efforts provide first class, behind the scenes technical training support and assist in the successful instruction of over 70,000 airmen and sister service members every year. The vision of the 982nd Maintenance Squadron is to become the United States Air Force's choice for multimedia and hands-on instructional devices to meet existing and future aerospace training challenges.
