There is a USGS Water Science Center office in each State. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in Oklahoma, in cooperation with other Federal, State, and local agencies, currently monitors 7 ground-water wells dispersed throughout Oklahoma.These wells are dispersed throughout Oklahoma and the greatest concentrations of wells are located where ground-water use is greatest. The Oklahoma USGS also has nine continuously recording ground-water wells located throughout the State.
