Locations
In addition to the 3 main medical centers, 5 Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) located in Framingham, Lowell, Plymouth, Quincy, and Causeway Street (Boston) make up VA Boston Healthcare System (VA BHS).
Waiting Areas
For your convenience and safety, we have special waiting areas throughout the facility. Please do not gather in the hallways or at the nurses' stations. You may also want to review our Visiting Hours and Policies.
Security
VA Boston Healthcare System has a Police Service. Our officers provide 24-hour patrols of the facility and parking lots. For general police assistance, please dial 45291. In case of an emergency, dial 55911. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.
Because the VA Boston Health System is federal property, all persons and bags are subject to search. In addition, no weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are permitted.
Lost and Found
There is a Lost and Found at each of the three VA Boston Healthcare System main campuses:
- Brockton: Mail Room, Building 3, Basement
- Jamaica Plain: Mail Room, 1st Floor, Rm D1-75
- West Roxbury: Mail Room, Building 3, Ground Floor, Rm A026.

GREEN ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (GEMS)
POLICY STATEMENT
Supporting our mission of providing quality care to our veterans, the VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) facilitates the use of its Green Environmental Management Systems (GEMS) as a systematic management approach to develop and implement our environmental policy and manage our environmental program at all levels of the organization.
GEMS provides an organizational structure and framework for managing VABHS’s environmental responsibilities, goals and objectives with respect to: environmental regulatory compliance; pollution prevention; energy conservation; sustainable buildings and practices; conformance with all Executive Orders/Directives; and, ensure compliance with all Federal, State & Local regulations.
