        Sergeant Major Rose was born November 4, 1970 in San Jose California. He enlisted in the Marine Corps December 26, 1990.

        In January 1991, Private Rose attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Ca.  Upon completion of Marine Combat Training, he attended the Basic Radio Operators Course at 29 Palms California.

        In August 1991, Private First Class Rose was transferred to Communications Company, 3d FSSG, Okinawa, Japan. During his tour, Private First Class Rose supported several training exercises on the island and in the Philippines.

        In September of 1992 Lance Corporal Rose executed orders to the School of Infantry as an instructor at Camp Pendleton, California where he served as a communications instructor for MCT and ITB.

        In 1994 Corporal Rose returned to Okinawa at 3rd Medical Battalion as the Communication Chief, 3rd FSSG and deployed to Thailand for the Cobra Gold and several other training exercises.

        In June of 1995 Sergeant Rose returned to Camp Pendleton, California and was assigned to 5th Battalion, 11th Marines as the Radio Chief for Headquarters Battery.

        In October of 1998 Sergeant Rose received orders to recruiter’s school and upon graduation was assigned to RS Portsmouth, RSS Boston as a canvassing recruiter. After 12 months, Staff Sergeant Rose became the noncommissioned officer in charge of RSS Boston, RSS Lynn, and RSS Manchester.

        Upon a successful tour as a NCIOC, Staff Sergeant Rose received orders to Marine Air Support Squadron 3, Camp Pendleton, California as the Radio Chief, was later deployed to Iraq in October 2002 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

        In October of 2004 Gunnery Sergeant Rose was assigned as the SNCOIC, Marine Air Control Group 38 detachment for the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit and returned to Iraq for a second tour for Iraqi Freedom. Upon completion of a nine month deployment, Gunnery Sergeant Rose was reassigned to SNCOIC of 1st platoon, MASS 3.

        In January of 2006 Gunnery Sergeant Rose received orders to 7th Communications Battalion where he served as SNCOIC of MSQ-126 (v4) platoon and battalion operations chief at Camp Hansen in Okinawa.

        In March 2008 First Sergeant Rose executed orders to CLR-3 where he was the company First Sergeant for Headquarters Company and again deployed to Thailand for Cobra Gold.

        In 2010 First Sergeant Rose received orders to Fifth Battalion Eleventh Marines and deployed with Battery S to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Upon his return he assumed the position and Battery First Sergeant for Headquarters Battery.

        In December 2011 he received orders to Combat Logistics Battalion 3 and served as First Sergeant for Headquarters and Service Company. On 17 November 2012 he was promoted Sergeant Major and is currently at Marine Corps Air Station, Kaneohe Bay.

        Sergeant Major Rose’s awards include: the Navy Commendation Medal with four Gold Stars, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with three Gold Stars, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal with one Silver Star and one Bronze Star.
