Basic Competencies
Interpret and apply regulations regarding premium pay.
Apply regulations regarding the principles of the Time and Attendance program.
Knowledge of what is allowed in making travel arrangements for government travelers.
Preparation of travel orders and vouchers accurately.
Knowledge of how to administer and correctly use the VISA check program.
Knowledge of regulations and requirements regarding usage of BankCard.
Demonstrate proficiency in using NOAA mandated software.
Knowledge of use of the Internet for information gathering.
Knowledge of basic principles of inventory and government purchasing guidelines.
Knowledge of regulations regarding purchasing authority for supplies and equipment.
Be able to communicate professionally with internal and external customers in written and oral format.
Demonstrate the capability for strong team oriented characteristics.
Display the capability to initiate office-wide directives.
Knowledge of basic principles regarding office security / emergency procedures.
Be able to receive office visitors and provide necessary information.
Effectively manage the office mail program.
Be able to serve as focal point for General Services Administration (GSA) vehicles.
Show the ability to set priorities.
Demonstrate proficiency in basic principles of file management.
Demonstrate the ability to maintain inventories and records of equipment and accountable property.
Demonstrate the ability to monitor and track budget allocations and expenditures.
Successfully maintain proper fiscal controls.
Be able to research and coordinate discrepancies with AMD.
Be able to provide correct requested budget reports.
Be able to properly and correctly maintain station property needs and records.
Be able to conduct and / or oversee physical inventory.
Successfully prepare all property documentation.
Demonstrate the ability to successfully resolve all unreconciled property reports.
Show the ability to find applicable regulations, and know which regulations are applicable to particular situations.
Be able to show discretion in dealing with personnel issues, and be able to prepare and submit forms related to personnel issues.
