Under Secretary Tauscher: Czechs Should Play an Important Role in the New Shield
November 18 — U.S. Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Affairs Ellen Tauscher said after her meeting with Czech Foreign Ministry representatives on November 16 that the Czech Republic should play an important role in the new U.S. missile defense system.
Tauscher said that the details of the Czech role in the Phased Adaptive Approach could become clearer after planned expert consultations in mid-2010. Tauscher also noted that U.S.-Czech consultations would probably start in December or January and last about six months.
