U.S. Communications Specialist Sam Rodriguez presents on strategies of the Obama Presidential Campaign

Invited by the U.S. Embassy in Chile he participated in several programs in Concepción and Santiago between June 22 and 26

Sam Rodriguez, American specialist in political campaigns offered a series of lectures and participated in round tables in Concepción and Santiago between June 22 and 26, invited by the Embassy of the United States in Chile.

Rodriguez, graduate of the University of Texas in political science and government studies, is the current director for the company Comcast in California, and has held various positions in the Democratic Party in California. During his presentations, he explained some successful campaign strategies, drawing examples from the Obama presidential campaign, and highlighting the use of new social networking tools such as Facebook, Twitter and cellular phone messaging to recruit volunteers and capture votes among young voters.

Sam Rodriguez has significant experience in organization, communication strategies and marketing in political campaigns. He was the political director of the Democratic Party of California in 2006 and has held various positions in state government. Previously, Rodriguez acted as director of Senator John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign in Washington DC.

Recently, he has been the director of KSR Strategy, a communications company based out of Sacramento which specializes in governmental relations, development of public policy, communications and media relations.
