Navy Cycling is a club sport sponsored by the U.S. Naval Academy. Its purpose is to represent the physical mission of the Academy while developing teamwork and leadership qualities. Every member of the team is a Midshipman and balances the rigors of academics, military life, and other extra-curricular activities with the demands of cycling. We have tryouts twice a year where members of the Brigade can make an attempt to be part of the championship team. Most team members join the team with little or no experience, but develop into proficient cyclists during their time on the team. The cycling team is currently coached by Roy Collins and overseen by LT Gene Coryell (USN). With both of their experience and officership, the team plans on continuing its domination of the Atlantic Collegiate Cycling Conference.
