MISSION

Program manage (acquire/develop, engineer, and implement) DoD Information
Assurance and NetOps capabilities. Provide responsive, secure, and interoperable net-centric solutions necessary to secure and operate the Global Information Grid in support of the Secretary of Defense, Combatant Commanders, Joint/combined task forces, Services, and Agencies.

MISSION ASSURANCE APPROACH

  • Reduce Attack Surface
    • Configure securely, automatically
    • Enhance perimeter defenses – defense in depth
    • Drive out Anonymity
    • Improve Network C2
      • Improved cyber readiness
      • Improved situational awareness
      • Cyber attack detection, diagnosis, reaction at network speed
      • Improve Safe Sharing
        • Cross domain flows as an enterprise services
        • Evolve directory, identify and access control to support net-centricity

        STRUCTURE

        PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT DIVISION (IA1)

        • Mission: Provide oversight on Information Assurance programs/projects/initiatives from requirements management through implementation planning, financial execution, and contract management. Oversee acquisition and full lifecycle support for all current and future Information Assurance capabilities.

        NETOPS DIVISION (IA2)

        • Mission: Provide next generation Net Centric NetOps Capabilities for the Combatant Commanders, Joint/Combined task forces, Services and Agencies to enable effective decision-making and mission assurance. Provide technical and programmatic leadership through the development, acquisition, integration, and operational transition of NetOps products and solutions to enhance situational awareness of the DoD Global Information Grid (GIG).

        CND SOLUTIONS DIVISION (IA3)

        • Mission: Develop integrated and interoperable net-centric IA architectural solutions in support of the DoD Global Information Grid. Ensure the security and Computer Network Defense (CND) situational awareness of the GIG through the engineering, architecture, development, testing, acquisition, and fielding of network security, sensor, and correlation products and solutions. Plan and manage lifecycle activities of CND capabilities to include perimeter defense solutions and sensor grid and analysis tools.

        IDENTITY MANAGEMENT DIVISION (IA4)

        • Mission: Provide secure and reliable identity management services for DoD applications and systems. Services include identification, authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signature, integrity, and biometrics for consumers (e.g., business processes, applications, users) to support the Global Information Grid Enterprise Service. Design, build, integrate, implement, and sustain the DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), DISA Enterprise Directory Service - GDS and JEDS, and other identify management services as they are defined.

        CND ENCLAVE SECURITY DIVISION (IA5)

        • Mission: Provide technical and programmatic leadership for Computer Network Defense (CND) enclave-level host and network security solutions. Enhance the security of the DoD Global Information Grid (GIG) enclaves through the acquisition, engineering, architecture, development, federated testing, fielding, and transition to sustainment of both host and network security products and solutions.
