BG Frederick A. Henry
Chief of Staff
Brigadier General Frederick A. Henry is the Defense Information Systems Agency Chief of Staff. He coordinates the efforts of a 6,600-member organization and the management of a 6-billiondollar- plus budget. He directs staff efforts to provide effective global command, control, and combat support systems for the President, Secretary of Defense, Combatant Commanders, Joint Staff, military departments, and combat support agencies.
Prior to coming to DISA, BG Henry served as the Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), Fort Huachuca, Arizona. BG Henry is a native of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
BG Henry graduated from Fitchburg State College in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology with a minor in Marketing. He earned master's degrees in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University System (Bowie State) and in National Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.
His military education includes Army Inspector General Course, Army War College, National Defense University Advanced Management Program, Joint Forces Staff College, Command and General Staff College, Systems Automation Course (FA53), and Chemical Officer Advanced and Basic Courses. Prior to his NETCOM assignment, BG Henry served at the Department of Army Inspector General Agency, Alexandria, Virginia, where he was the Chief for the Information Assurance Division. Among his other assignments are tours at Human Resource Command (HRC), Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), and numerous Army battalion and brigade assignments.
His awards include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Parachutist Badge.
BG Henry is married to Latonya Henry of Nashville, Tennessee.
