How to make/cancel appointments

APPOINTMENTS:

To make an appointment, please dial the Patient Appointment Line at 1-866-LEE-KAHC (533-5242) during the hours of 0700 to 1700, Monday through Friday.

You can also book many appointments online, with TRICARE Online.

To access the Kenner Guide on how to use TRICARE ONLINE please click here hit "cancel" when the password request appears.  Not all of Kenner’s appointments are available for online booking, but a large number of primary care appointments are available to you, at just the click of a button.  Please visit https://www.tricareonline.com for more information.  Registration is required.

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please remember to cancel it to allow other patients to utilize that appointment.

To cancel your appointment, please dial the Patient Appointment Line at 1-866-LEE-KAHC (533-5242). When prompted press option #1 to cancel your appointment. Your call is then routed to a recorded phone line which allows you leave your message. You will be asked to provide the following information. Please speak slowly and clearly and provide the following information:

1. Patients full name

2. Full sponsor's social security number

3. Date and time of appointment

4. Provider and clinic name if known.

 NO SHOWS:

Kenner Army Health Clinic is asking TRICARE beneficiaries who use Kenner to help reduce patient “NO SHOWS”. Patients who neither keep nor cancel their scheduled appointments or who arrive late to their appointments by 10 or more minutes are termed as “NO SHOWS”.

Patient “NO SHOWS” can potentially have a tremendous negative impact upon Medical Treatment Facilities. The potential effects can be: loss of medical staff including physicians, curtailing services, loss of productivity, and patients who need appointments cannot get an appointment. There are two ways patients can cancel their medical appointments here. Patients can either call the Patient Appointment Line at 1-866-LEE-KAHC or cancel their appointment during Kenner’s automated appointment reminder service.

AUTOMATED APPOINTMENT REMINDER SERVICE:

TRICARE beneficiaries who have a medical appointment at Kenner Army Health Clinic at least 48 hours from their appointed time should receive a telephone call at their designated contact number reminding them of their appointment. An automated voice message machine reminds the patient of their appointment date and time when he/she picks up the phone or it will leave a message for the beneficiary. The voice message asks the beneficiary to either confirm or cancel their appointment by pressing a key on their telephone before ending the call. It is very important that the beneficiary make a choice during the call. This enables Kenner to optimize appointments that might otherwise go unused.

Thank you for your help to reduce the number of missed appointments at the Kenner Army Health Clinic.
