Women's Health Program

Welcome to the Women's Health Program at Kenner Army Health Clinic.  

 

Our goal is to provide women's health services for active duty and beneficiaries, to include the well women's visit, counseliing for contraception, and other issues germaine to women's health.  

 

The Women's Health servces inlcude procedures, such as, IUD insertion, and nexplanon insertion.  Evaluation for abnormal pap smears to include colposcopy can be done.  Discussion might include:  abnormal menses, pelvic pain, endometriosis, infertility, bone health, hormone disorders, and menopause.   Adolescent GYN is included in women's health and care is given for STD testing, birth-control counselling, managing menstrual issues for teens, and GARDISAL for prevention of HPV.

 

The Women's Health Care Team includes:

 

Dr. Joseph Ellen, MD, OB/GYN available Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

Mrs. Kim Parks, Family Nurse Practiioner, available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

Ms. Kathleen Moffitt, Certified Nurse Midwife, available Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

The LPN Coordinator is Ms. Robin Russell who can be reached by calling the Family Medicine Clinic.  Ms. Russell arranges procedures and can assist with booking appointments, procedures and can assist with counseling.
