The 2012-2013 JFDP Competition is open to university faculty from Turkmenistan. No age limit. Deadline: June 18, 2012.

The Junior Faculty Development Program (JFDP) is a program of Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State. JFDP is a non-degree, professional development program that provides promising junior university faculty with the opportunity to:

  • expand knowledge and expertise in their respective academic fields by attending classes and working with faculty members at universities in the United States;
  • gather new academic materials and resources, and;
  • develop relationships between U.S. institutions and their home universities.

The Junior Faculty Development Program provides university instructors with a semester-long opportunity to expand their knowledge and expertise in their academic field by attending classes and working with faculty members at universities in the United States. Individuals may apply for fields in the humanities and social sciences.
