February 2012:
DoD 5200.1-R has been reissued as a new Manual.
Department of Defense Manual Number 5200.01, Volumes 1 through 4 have been approved and released. This new manual updates the DoD Information Security Program and cancels some long-time reference documents.
Collectively the four (4) volumes of the Manual are known as the DoD Information Security Program. (Previously DoD 5200.1-R).

The release of this Manual cancels the following documents:
