CSOSA is committed to ensuring that offenders have access to the programs and services they need to establish productive, crime-free lives. The agency provides a broad range of treatment and assessment services as well as education and employment-related services. We also refer offenders to services that we do not provide directly, including substance and mental health treatment and job training.

Substance Abuse Treatment
CSOSA contracts with private service providers for a range of residential, outpatient, and transitional substance abuse treatment services. Contract providers also perform mental health screenings and assessments to identify and address the various treatment needs of offender population.

Vocational and Educational Programs
CSOSA's Learning Labs provide educational assessments, literacy training, GED support and job development services to offenders and defendants. Learning Lab services focus on increasing clients' educational levels and providing the necessary support to allow them to obtain vocational skills training and, ultimately, gainful employment.

Day Reporting Center
The Day Reporting Center (DRC) is an on-site cognitive restructuring program designed to change offenders' adverse thinking patterns, provide education and job training to enable long-term employment, and hold unemployed offenders accountable during the day.

Re-Entry and Sanctions Center
The CSOSA Re-Entry and Sanctions Center (RSC) at Karrick Hall provides high-risk offenders and defendants with intensive assessment and reintegration programming in a residential setting. The RSC program is specifically tailored for offenders/defendants with long histories of crime and substance abuse coupled with long periods with incarceration and little outside support.

Traffic Alcohol Program
CSOSA's Traffic Alcohol Program (TAP) provides close community supervision and programming for individuals convicted of certain traffic and/or alcohol-related offenses, including: Driving while Intoxicated or Impaired (DWI), Driving under the Influence (DUI), as well as Operating while Impaired, Operating after Revocation, Operating after Suspension, Reckless Driving, No Permit and Fleeing.

CSOSA's Transitional Intervention for Parole Supervision (TIPS) teams perform risk assessments for parolees and supervised release offenders who transition through a Community Corrections Center (CCC) (commonly referred to as a halfway house).

Violence Reduction Program The Violence Reduction Program (VRP) is a programmatic intervention that blends cognitive behavioral therapy and mentoring into a three-phase intervention for men, aged 18-35 who have histories of violent, weapons, and/or drug distribution convictions.
