Internships
Congressional internships offer students a unique opportunity to observe and participate in the workings of a United States Senate office. Interns carry out a variety of responsibilities, such as opening and sorting mail, answering calls from constituents, or working in the press office. They also have the opportunity to perform research, assist legislative staff, attend committee hearings, and help answer correspondence.
The internship program in Kelly's Washington office consists of two semester-long sessions in the spring and fall, and one summer session. A limited number of internship positions are available in her state offices. If you wish to pursue an internship in Kelly's office, please complete the application available below and submit a resume, cover letter, and two letters of recommendation. Preference will be given to New Hampshire students who permanently reside in the Granite State and have completed at least their sophomore year of college.
