The 11 rookery charts (1896) included in this archive were scanned from a book published by the U.S. Government (Townsend 1896b). The 1967 rookery maps were created from the 1967 aerial transparencies series (Johnson, Simon and Fowler, in prep). These aerial rookery maps show the locations of boundaries between neighboring rookeries and rookery sections that are used in annual fur seal research. The compressed MrSid format files were registered using ArcView software and contain GPS information.
