Ensuring Brighter Futures for Youth Through Federal Mentoring Programs

Spearheaded by the Corporation for National and Community Service, the Federal Mentoring Council, comprised of representatives from a host of federal government agencies, was established to secure more successful futures for our nation’s youth aimed at closing the mentoring gap and creating new mentoring opportunities by leveraging the expertise, resources, and influence of government agencies.

The Council works to ensure the effective and efficient coordination of the investment of federal resources in mentoring activities. The Council is supported in its efforts by the National Mentoring Working Group, an informal body which exchanges ideas and shares information with the Council on a regular basis. In addition to representatives from MENTOR, the working group includes participants from state and local government, the nonprofit community, and corporate America.

This website serves as the home of the Federal Mentoring Council, and provides in-depth information on the Council, its mentoring initiatives and its partners, and resources, research findings, and contact information on youth mentoring programs.
