Education
When it comes to educating our children, state and local governments know best. Following the example of my friend, Ronald Reagan, we need to return control and flexibility to parents, teachers and local communities — those that know the individual needs of families and children. Currently, the federal government’s role in education is far too intrusive and impractical. Congress should instead be working to delegate these decisions to local authorities.
Education reform is essential by empowering our local communities to make decisions based on the needs of their students so our children can succeed in the 21st century workplace.
