The Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (DASA) for Budget is responsible for the Department of the Armys budget formulation, the presentation and defense of the budget through the Congressional appropriation process, budget execution and analysis, reprogramming actions, and appropriation fund control/distribution. The DASA for Budget provides the ASA(FM&C) and the Army Staff budgetary assessments and impacts of implementing future Army plans and programs. The personnel in the Office of the DASA (BU) work closely with the functional program/subprogram managers and sponsors who are responsible for program development and management.
