Commission Documents Regarding the Construction Inspection Program for New Reactors
The staff of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) submits Commission (SECY) papers to inform the Chairman and Commissioners about issues or technical developments related to agency policy, rulemaking, and adjudicatory matters. The staff also prepares SECY papers in response to issues raised by the Chairman and Commissioners, or as a result of petitions for rulemaking.
The Commission, in turn, may initiate or respond to a SECY paper by preparing a staff requirements memorandum (SRM). These communications document the Commission's decisions regarding the subject of the related SECY paper and define any related tasks and due dates assigned to the staff.
The following table presents a chronological listing of the SECY papers and SRMs regarding the Construction Inspection Program for New Reactors.
