How can I pay my overpayment?
You may pay an overpayment by check, money order or credit card; by phone, mail, or in person at your local office. If you prefer to mail your payment, use the following mailing addresses:
- For Social Security (Title 2) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) overpayments:

To repay an overpayment by phone, call us at the toll-free number shown on your overpayment notice and have that notice at hand when you call. If you no longer have the notice, you may call us toll-free at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778), Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on business days.
We are unable to accept payments online at this time.
